Lake Pehoé is located within Torres del Paine National Park.
It was named by the Tehuelche people, who called it “Hidden Lake” in their language because it lay concealed among many other bodies of water, making it difficult to find.
This lake blends seamlessly with the sky. On calm days, the surrounding mountains are mirrored on its surface, creating a breathtaking and almost surreal landscape. Many hikers cross its waters as part of the famous W Trek and Paine Massif routes.
This spot sits near the small village of Villa Cerro Castillo, around 145 kilometers (90 miles) north of Puerto Natales.
